Benefits of SEIBA Membership
Education
The Association's Mission is to improve the construction industry through continuous education of our existing employees and young people entering the field of construction. The Southeast Iowa Builders Association is very active with the ongoing School-To-Work process. The Association has been instrumental in developing several 2+2 programs with our colleges in the field of Construction Management and Construction Technology. We are committed to issuing several scholarships each year to young people entering the field of construction. In addition, there are training seminars and classes (i.e., safety, quality, task training, team building, TQM, etc.) offered in the construction industry each year for continued education. Learning is a lifelong experience and the Southeast Iowa Builders Association is dedicated to providing the education through partnerships with area schools/agencies to remain on the leading edge.
Marketing
The relationships built in this Association allow our members to expand their business interest through various ongoing events each year. Networking allows the various businesses to become well acquainted with one another. Their business interest and new business can be developed from these relationships. Our members have access to local market information, as well as outside our local area, through the various programs presented each year.
Networking
Being a member of the Southeast Iowa Builders Association allows our members to network with one another, continuously improving the quality of their companies through win-win sharing. The Association consists of contractors of all disciplines and size, vendors and suppliers of material, equipment dealers, financial institutions, insurance agencies, accounting firms, and many others.
Regulations
The Southeast Iowa Builders Association remains current on all construction industry regulations and standards. The Association and its members feel it is important to keep one another aware of the changes in regulations as they occur. These changes are offered through the various training programs continuously to our members.
Social
There are several events held each year to bring our membership together in fellowship and sharing. Each year, two major events are held to raise money for our education fund. They are the Annual Hog Roast and Auction and the Annual Summer Scholarship Golf Tournament. In addition to these major events, our Association has monthly golf outings in the spring, summer, and fall, and monthly membership meetings (established programs as requested by our membership) in the fall and winter.
